Within the Langa district, often characterised by male stories, Cecilia Monte, a Winegrower from Neive, as the company brand says, represents one of the rare ‘female examples’ belonging to the firmament of Piedmontese wine excellences.

The Langa around Neive: Starting from the year 2000, in a spectacular position on two Langa ridges in the heart of the Barbaresco area, in an area still little explored and therefore rich in natural biodiversity, a company led by a young, determined and well-prepared woman was founded.

A company that renews itself: The company covers a total area of approx. 3.5 hectares of vineyards with Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera vines and is equipped with all technical support, both in the countryside and in the cellar, to support a production of excellence. Cecilia Monte represents a reality in continuous evolution and renewal, in a timeless panorama.

The grapes come from vineyards planted in the early 2000s. The yield per hectare is approx. 7,000 kg. Maceration takes place for approx. 10 days and is accompanied by frequent daily pumping over. Vinification takes place at a controlled temperature of less than 30° and malolactic fermentation takes place inside steel tanks. The permanence in steel and non-invasive contact with the wood, preferably not new, allow all the dynamic characteristics and the high point of drinkability that underlie this extraordinary vine to be maintained.
