The Convalmore 1977 36-year-old Speyside single malt whisky represents a rare and distinguished bottling from the renowned Convalmore distillery. Released in 2013 as part of Diageo's Special Releases, this particular edition is the second of three highly praised long-aged Convalmore Special Releases. Notably, it remains the oldest official bottling ever produced by the distillery.
This exceptional whisky was matured for thirty-six years in a small batch of refill European oak casks. The bottling process was conducted without the use of colouring or chill filtration, thus preserving its authentic character. The whisky was bottled at its natural cask strength of 58%, resulting in a potent and robust spirit, especially remarkable given its age. A limited total of 2,680 bottles were produced, highlighting its exclusivity.
