Sharing its land with Mazoyères-Chambertin, the Charmes-Chambertin appellation prevails. Our vines thrive on clay-rich brown soils (around 40%), interspersed with lava and iron ore deposits. This unique soil composition imparts aromas of red fruit along with a distinctive opulence to the wine. The stony soil contributes the balance and aromatic finesse essential to a wine that will age well. Our ideally located vines near Chambertin, just off the Route des Grands Crus, make this wine an exceptional Grand Cru.
