Monopole
Monopole has been produced by CVNE in Haro since the beginning of the 20th century. The brand was registered in 1915, making it the oldest trademark registration for a white wine in Spain. Since then, it has been a reference in homes and in the hospitality industry, and one of CVNE's main wines.
Monopole is made from the Viura grape variety and its name comes from French and means that the wine comes from a specific vineyard, a clarification that was created during the time of Napoleon.
In 2014, the style of the past was revived, which had earned this great white wine recognition. To recover it, CVNE brought back to the winery its historic winemaker Ezequiel García, who had been in charge of making the winery's wines for more than three decades. Nicknamed “El Brujo”, he worked his magic again with the reissue of this Monopole from the 1960s, which they called Monopole Clásico.
