Longrow 2007-2017 | 9 Year Old Society Release.
Longrow 2007 is a heavily peated single malt whisky produced by Springbank. It was released at full cask strength in 2017, just before reaching its tenth birthday. This bottling was exclusive to members of the Springbank Society.
The whisky was aged for nine years in hogshead casks - a type of large barrel - that had previously contained Sauternes, a sweet French wine. This maturation added fresh honeysuckle and apricot notes to Longrow's signature industrial peat character.
Bottled without colouring or chill filtration, the whisky retains its full flavour and character. Chill filtration is a process used to remove certain particles from whisky, but omitting it preserves more of the natural taste and mouthfeel. Bottling at cask strength means the whisky was not diluted after aging, maintaining its original high alcohol content of 56.3%. Only 1,134 bottles were produced in this small batch.
This product is being sold on behalf of a private client. As such no vat can be claimed back.
