A powerful, elegant wine with concentrated red fruit flavours and vanilla and violet aromas.
VINEYARDS: The 'Aux Cras' vineyard is very well located. It is South-East oriented at an altitude of 260 m on a rather steep slope. The soil is not very deep, it is very stony (explaining its name: Cras=formerly a quarry).
VINTAGE: A season of extreme summer temperatures and one of the hottest and sunniest on record which led to lower yields. However, whilst yields are low, the quality and concentration is outstanding, with wines of great character.
WINEMAKING: A powerful, elegant wine with concentrated red fruit flavours and vanilla and violet aromas.
