Louis Jadot Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes (Domaine Gagey) 2020.
Les Baudes is one of the 24 Premier Cru vineyards of the commune of Chambolle-Musigny. The commune is unique in the Côte de Nuits for its soils: chalky over hard bedrock, which stresses the vines. This Pinot Noir wine is fermented in vats for up to 4 weeks, then aged 18 to 20 months in oak barrels before bottling.
TASTING NOTES
The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes (Domaine Gagey) unwinds in the glass with aromas of sweet berries and plums mingled with hints of orange rind and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, it's lively, deep and concentrated, with ample reserves of ripe, powdery tannin and a long, resonant finish - William Kelley.
