LOCATION: The village of Flagey-Echezeaux is situated to the South of Vougeot, next to the famous château bordering its wall.
VINEYARD INFORMATION: The vineyards of Vosne-Romanée and Flagey-Echezeaux, are entitled to use the Vosne-Romanée appellation.
The two Grands Crus Echezeaux and Grands Echezeaux are situated on the slopes.
The Echezeaux soil is chalky, which is perfect to make a beautiful Grand Cru. The vineyard is facing east/south-east.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION: Destemmed grapes ferment in vats during 3 to 4 weeks. Aging takes place in oak barrels produced by our cooperage Cadus during 18 months.
SERVING TIP: Roasted salmon, roasted chicken, grilled red meat : beef, lamb chops, osso bucco, stew, ragout, bœuf bourguignon, duck, partridge, quail, deer, young wild boar, teppanyaki beef, mashed potatoes with salted butter, Cîteaux, Mont d’Or.
