For the 5th edition of Rum Sponge we decided to bottle this rather immense and ridiculous cask of New Yarmouth 1994.
It underwent a significant period of tropical ageing which has contributed to its extremely concentrated and immensely aromatic profile. Featuring such popular and classic flavours as: medicine; herbs; fruity stuff; spices; woody things; and everyone's favourite all the way from Jamaica: weird funk!
Bottled it with slight reduction at 63% because we thought the rum showed best at this strength and because we thought it might ruffle some feathers.
The finish lasts for the same length of time it takes to read the entirety of Ceefax through an early 1990s 26" Sony Triniton TV set.
