The new 2021 Ultreia Villegas is from a part of the vineyard that was previously use for the Ultreia Valtuille, and they selected the sandier part to produce this bottling. It's very low yielding, and the grapes ripened slowly so that the wine achieved a moderate 13.08% alcohol and mellow acidity.
The nose is very expressive, with berries, herbs and spices, and the palate is tender and elegant, with a velvety texture and soft acidity. The tannins are ultra fine here.
