Bimber The Four Elements Water.
The fourth and final whisky from Bimber's Four Elements Quartet range, exclusive to Master of Malt. Called Water, it was drawn from a single bourbon cask (#518) and bottled at 52.1% ABV.
This expression isn't bottled at cask strength like others in the series because the idea was to demonstrate the impact of water on whisky. Hence it was diluted. Water is instrumental in many parts of the whisky-making process, from steeping and mashing through to cooling, as well as having a crucial impact on long, high-ester fermentations like the kind Bimber runs.
As a London distillery, Bimber's water is sourced from the Thames, meaning it possesses a high mineral content and microbiological purity. There are just 271 bottles available of Bimber The Four Elements - Water.
NOSE: A balanced combination of pineapple chunks, mangoes, and vibrant lemon sits alongside toasted cereals, vanilla buttercream, and ginger.
PALATE: Juicy pineapple, apple, and pear join vanilla pods, smooth custard, and toasted oak, whilst cinnamon and ginger are dusted on top.
FINISH: Prolonged sweet fruitiness together with sympathetic cinnamon spice.
