J.G. Thomson was originally a wine & spirits merchant with its roots dating back to the 1700s and occupied the Vaults in Leith – the now home of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. They were inspired by this savvy Edinburgh family they've taken as their namesake and they push forward now with the same founding principles; to create new and exciting tastes that tantalise the adventurous. They want to capture the opportunity that has emerged on the wave of craft and artisanal spirits. Their customers are those who search for spirits that offer a diverse and authentic experience. By using their core skill & knowledge set they have brought J.G. Thomson back to life in 2021, offering an exciting range of innovative and high-end spirits.

They endeavour to create spirits a little out of the ordinary, blended with discriminating taste and appeal. They don’t believe that time or taste should stand still, so they seize every opportunity to create new whisky and spirit blends, leading the way for those of adventurous taste.
