Samaroli began in 1968. One of the earliest independent whisky bottlers and the first non-English and non-Scottish whisky brand of its time. True to their Italian roots, unorthodox and unconventional flair guides them in their ceaseless pursuit to perfection.
They enjoy breaking down walls and celebrating what they see beyond. A dram of Samaroli is to be savoured and enjoyed in a way that the product of a large commercial operation cannot be. Although a bottle of Samaroli may indeed bear your favourite distillery’s name, you will be surprised. For it will be familiar but different. It will bring your senses alive with amusement and wonder. It will be full of character, opinionated and often quirky — but never boring.

OUR SPIRITS PHILOSOPHY
We like this idea that our choices are as unique as you are, and that quality is not perfect. Perfectly imperfect, perhaps.
They are on a mission. To find perfection in quality for all things pertaining to spirits. They do what they do with a strong dose of opinions, questions, risk-taking... Naturally as Italians, they are happy to embrace, challenge and celebrate all this. Along this path they have come to realise that differences and uniqueness in fact bring about perfection in terms of quality. And perfect quality at its pinnacle is as unique as you, and I, and they are.
The products they tirelessly search for, taste and bottle, are almost always different and individual in character. As such, every Samaroli bottle should always be opened with a bit of excitement and surprise. Think kid in a candy store. Prepare yourselves for an adventure of the nose and palate where quality is reinterpreted and perhaps continually challenged, as no one is better than the other. But reflecting holistically, the sum of all these perfectly imperfect bottles represents a collection of uniquely perfect spirits — and we don't mean alcohol.
OUR TASTING PHILOSOPHY
Just as in the wine world there is the standard glass for tasting and other special glasses for famous wines, they feel that their spirits need a specific glass to convey the full spectrum of scents and flavours — lest we lose something. Samaroli is on a quest for the best quality in everything they do. And the glass used to savour also counts.
Therefore they began a collaboration with renowned glass designers to refine a concept of their own. This came to be in June 2011. Its purpose: to avoid any scent concentration. As their products are very rich, they need the right width to naturally develop their aromas without any concentration effect deriving from the glass.
Introducing an “internal step” as a facilitator helps break the alcohol molecules to make the perception of otherwise hidden details possible. In our view it also has a very beautiful shape! Enjoy your drink.
