In late 2019, a fire in the fuel store of the biomass boiler shut down production and dramatically truncated the distillery’s annual output. This exceptionally rare vintage emerged from that disruption, turning severe constraints into an opportunity for a distinctive release.
This third release brings together winter and summer runs of Concerto and Laureate barley, fermented for 120 hours and cut to an emerging GlenWyvis style in squat pot stills. A unique trio of speciality casks contributes further complexity: red wine adds black fruit and spice, Moscatel introduces floral citrus notes, and a lone Marsala cask brings unmistakable sweetness.
The result is a complex, delicate dram that embraces its youth.
