AGRICULTURE: 2023 was a hot and dry year. During the dormant period (autumn–winter), temperatures were mild and rainfall levels higher than in 2022. However, spring–summer saw very high temperatures and very low rainfall. As a result, phenological stages advanced more quickly in the vineyard. Harvest began early and was concentrated into just a few weeks, with several varieties reaching optimal ripeness at the same time. This provided aromatic, intense wines with great complexity.
VITICULTURE: Vinha do Badeco vineyard farmed organically. , parcel with 1,03 ha in Herdade do Esporão. Double Guyot pruning system, trained in vertical shoot positioning.
- Soil Type: Poor soil, brown color. Derived from the schist of a sandy to silty-loam texture.
- Average Vineyard Age: One of the oldest vineyards of Touriga Nacional planted in the Alentejo in 1988.

- Colour: Intense deep garnet.
- Aroma: An exuberant and intense aroma, still with fresh notes of bergamot and delicate aromas of vanilla and pink pepper.
- Palate: A rich and full-bodied palate, with polished tannins. A persistent and fresh finish.
