VINEYARD INFORMATION: The Grand Cru vineyard of Les Pougets is directly adjacent to Le Charlemagne climat, on the upper and mid-slope. It is among the five vineyards of the commune in which the variegated soils, alternating between chalk and iron-rich marl, produce both Corton Pougets and Corton Charlemagne.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION: Destemmed grapes ferment in vats during 3 to 4 weeks. Aging takes place in oak barrels produced by the CADUS cooperage during 18 months.
WINE SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-17.
AGING POTENTIAL: 10 years and more, even 15/20 years.
