VINEYARD INFORMATION: Pommard is on a slope, between 240 and 380 metres, facing east or south-east.
Pommard can only be red. There is no grand cru wines.
The quite clayey calcareous soil gives Pommard some quite original qualities: a lot of colour, deep red black, intense and pungent bouquet of blackcurrants, musk and game meat.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION: Destemmed grapes ferment in vats during 3 to 4 weeks. Aging takes place in oak barrels produced by the CADUS cooperage during 18 months.
WINE SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-17.
