The story of the Marqués de Murrieta winery is inextricably intertwined with the history of Rioja wine. The winery's founder, the Marqués de Murrieta, imported production techniques into Spain from Bordeaux. In 1852 he produced his first wine in Logroño, moving into the Ygay Estate in the late 1870s. Located at the heart of La Rioja, the estate is home to Ygay Castle, headquarters of the Marqués de Murrieta wineries. The castle is surrounded by 300 hectares of vineyards.
To honour their 170th anniversary, the winery has put together this special gift set containing 6 consecutive vintages of the Marques de Murrieta Reserva, their flagship wine.
About this Set: Beautifully packaged in an etched wooden box, this set includes one 750ml bottle of each of these six wines:

2012 Reserva Rioja: A blend of 77% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha, 8% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo, aged 23 months in American oak.
2013 Reserva Rioja: A blend of 83% Tempranillo, 9% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo and 3% Garnacha, aged 16 months in American oak.
2014 Reserva Rioja: A blend of 84% Tempranillo, 9% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha, aged 19 months in American oak.
2015 Reserva Rioja: A blend of 80% Tempranillo, 12% Graciano, 6% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha, aged 18 months in American oak.
2016 Reserva Rioja: A blend of 87% Tempranillo, 6% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha, aged 16 months in American oak.
2017 Reserva Rioja: A blend of 82% Tempranillo, 9% Graciano, 6% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha, aged 20 months in American oak.

All our wines are stored in our importers bonded warehouse, which have the optimum environment for fine wine storage, by carefully regulating temperature, humidity and other microclimatic factors.
